This is the email I received from my Aunt Mildred, the daughter of Myrtie.
What a wonderful idea and a beautiful cover!
My memories are of Mama every year at Barryville planting her pansies. She thought they had such beautiful faces. She enjoyed studying each one.
And the pictures of her holding you……wonderful. Her face showed how much she loved you. She always loved babies. She seemed to know just how to hold them to stop their crying.

Hi Louise,
Wow! I can’t beleive it’s almost done! Your’e cover is beautiful! She would love it! I have such awesome memories of Grandma and her love of flowers and birds. I still have a picture book she gave me with paintings of birds and flowers. So like her! Congradulations, I can’t wait to read it.

Dear Louise and Gary (who gets praise for the beautiful cover and all the help he has given for this book, also to Andrew who also was a big help.
I’m late with my comments! Yes the book is great and the cover really beautiful. Had tears in my eyes when I opened up the package and saw it! It is so like Mama who really loved flowers especially violets!
And of couse I was there when she first saw her first grandchild! She kept saying, “Isn’t she cute? My isn’t she cute?” She was so happy to see you! Love, Mom
